Event

Natural History of Small Mammals
Join Bob Rubin, retired SRJC zoology professor, as we explore the biology and ecology of small mammals at Pepperwood. Using clues drawn from skeletons, skulls and pelts, we will learn about the features and characteristics of mammals including raccoons, skunks, opossums, foxes, and rodents. We will also learn about the evolutionary history of mammals and examine some living specimens collected the previous night.   Bring lunch and water and wear layered apparel and sturdy hiking shoes.  Ages 14 and up welcome.
