Founded by the late Professor Coleen Gragen, Hand to Hand Kajukenbo Self Defense Center has grown into an important fixture in the Bay Area. Hand to Hand provides traditional martial arts training and self defense classes and is one of the largest women-led schools on the West Coast. Our mission is to empower and positively transform individuals and communities to create a peaceful and just society through martial arts and self defense. Through practical skills and strategy, form and flow, we support peace and health for all people. Hand to Hand is pleased to share proceeds from this event with Building Futures with Women and Children, an inspiring organization whose mission is to build communities with underserved women and children where they are safely and supportively housed, and free from homelessness and domestic violence. In addition to a shelter, they host a crisis hotline, support groups, and other domestic violence services. For more information, check out www.bfwc.org.
