Schubert's Inspiration
To begin its 11th season, the Society brings together five outstanding musicians for a performance of Franz Schubert's famous string quintet in C major, the "cello" quintet. The concert also includes a dramatic quintet by French 19th century composer Georges Onslow, which inspired Schubert to write his own quintet with two cellos.
The event includes a pre-concert talk at 3:30pm by CMSCVA Artistic Director James Wilson.
