| Description |
 West Valley Light Opera as part of our 43rd season presents "GREASE".
Appearing in this theater for the first time is this rollicking musical comedy, "Grease", which opened in 1972 and became one of Broadway's longest-running musicals,
"Grease" takes a nostalgic look at growing up in the ultra-cool 50's, when slicked-back hair, beehive hairdos, tight pedal pushers, bobby-sox, pajama parties, and drive-in movies were the rage.
In 1978 Paramount Pictures released its film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John and it became one of the highest-grossing movie musicals of all time.
Popular songs include "Summer Nights", "Greased Lightnin'" and "We Go Together".
