Are you afraid of things that go bump in the night? The girls of Tucson Roller Derby are ready to knock those ghosts and ghouls back under the bed where they belong, after they practice on each other of course! The 2nd annual Arizona State Championship Conference season is off and running at our new home, the Bookman's Event Center, and TRD is back with another double header to "die for". In the first game of the night, the VICE Squad will do battle with the Whiskey Row-llers from Northern Arizona Roller Derby. In the second game, the Copper Queens will duke it out with the Arizona Roller Derby Surly Gurlies. Halftime entertainment will be provided by Shrimp Chaperone.
To keep in the spirit of the season, Tucson Roller Derby is proud to name the Tucson Screamer's Slaughterhouse as the featured charity of the month. The Slaughterhouse, named Tucson's Scariest Haunted House for three years running, is a non-profit organization that has raised more than $40,000 for many local charities and groups. Discount admission to the Slaughterhouse will be available at the game, while supplies last. Plus, be scared out of your skates by your favorite Tucson Roller Derby girls at the Slaughterhouse on Friday, October 7th and Friday, October 21st.
It's a screaming good time with Tucson Roller Derby this October, and the Arizona State Conference will keep you on the edge of your seat. Will the donut loving VICE girls be able to fend off an onslaught from the Row-llers? Will the Copper Queens be taken into Davy Jones' locker by the pirates of AZRD? There's one way to find out, so be there for all the action of the Monster Smash!
