By the late 1970's, when "New Wave" was dominating the radio airwaves, the powerful
threesome of The Police turned the music world on its ear and introduced the
world to their lead singer and composer, Sting, an ex-teacher with a flair for involving
his audience. Poetic, multi-rhythmic, and irresistible, the songs of The Police engaged and
involved their audiences both intellectually and musically. No Police fan will want to miss
this exciting evening of rare concerts and international appearances. Among the classic
songs highlighted will be Roxanne, Message in a Bottle, Canary in a Coal Mine, Don't
Stand So Close to Me, and Can't Stand Losing You. The Police dominated radio and MTV
into the 1980's. Their concerts sold out world-wide, their records topped the charts by
