Directed by Pepe Danquart: From revolutionary beginnings in the 1960s and 70s as an student activist, urban guerilla and sometime taxi driver in the wild days of Germany's rising student movement to charged disputes in the 1980s and 90s as a member of the Green party as controversial for his white trainers as his outspoken opinions to a lengthy run as the country's most singular Foreign Minister, Joseph Martin "Joschka" Fischer has remained an enigmatic lightning rod in the body politic for more than 40 years. In an insightful exploration of postwar Germany martialing unseen footage and in-person interviews, Pepe Danquart captures the charm, wit and unmatchable insight of a figure whose legend is as much part of the German political landscape as any single party.
