Fell Runner
Fell Runner is a Los Angeles-based rock band formed in 2012 by four music students at the California Institute of the Arts. Originally started as an independent study in applying West African rhythms to western song forms, Fell Runner has developed to encompass a broad range of influences and define a collectively influenced sound, creating music that is asymmetrically rhythmic while simultaneously melodic and dance-able. They have performed at venues such as The Echo, The Bootleg Theater, and The New Parrish and will be releasing their self titled debut CD accompanied by a tour of the west coast in the late summer.
True Story is a Boise-based performance art group combining storytelling with music. They have been selected as the keynote performers at the Arts Northwest annual booking conference to be held at The Grove in October. They have captivated Sapphire Room and other Boise audiences with a unique blend of humor, inspiration, and insight. The group was founded by singer-songwriter Anderson Mitchell and storyteller-poet Eric Valentine. It features cello, light percussion and harmonizing vocals, too.
