| Description |
 Vocalist LUA HADAR and her band, TWIST, stir up the audience with hot Latin rhythms, sexy Italian ballads, funk a la Francais, and jazz from The Great American Songbook. Both chanteuse and comedienne, Hadar's luscious voice seduces, as she peppers the continental evening with quirky stories and a playful dose of cabaret showmanship. Jazz pianist and composer Jason Martineau leads the genre-bending 5-piece band, TWIST.
The freshness of the sound comes from a mix of original songs, well-known jazz tunes done in unexpected ways, and international songs - both familiar and not - performed in French, Spanish or Italian. Samba to swing, bossa nova to jazz waltz, Lua Hadar bends her agile voice around it all, with elegance and effervescence. Our L.A. band features Tim Emmons on bass and Jack LeCompte on drums, with a surprise reed player! Come get shaken & stirred with TWIST.
