Gypsy Flamenco Passion

Maestro René Heredia, "world-renowned virtuoso" (Denver Post) and "Denver's living flamenco legend" (KUVO radio), will present one of the finest flamenco shows of Gypsy music and dance, featuring his Flamenco Fantasy Dance Theatre, the premiere flamenco dance company of Colorado. The performance combines the sensuous flamenco rhythms from the lighthearted to the deepest emotions with authentic Gypsy choreography and guitar accompaniment. The show also features authentic, lavish costumes of Spain, making for an evening of "GYPSY FLAMENCO PASSION!

René has performed concerts at Carnegie Hall, Champs Elysees Theatre in Paris, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles and many of the world's most prestigious theaters. He has performed with some world's most renowned flamenco artists, such as José Greco, and Carmen Amaya (considered to be the best flamenco dancer ever to come out of Spain), and played command performances for dignitaries including President Ford, President Carter, Princess Grace Kelly and Prince Rainer of Monaco, Prince Philip of Spain, and Prince Bandar of Saudi Arabia.

René Heredia is the Master guitarist, teacher, educator, composer, choreographer, and recording artist who has seeded the Rocky Mountain area with flamenco dancers and guitarists for over forty years. Locally, he has been honored with awards such as the Governor's and Mayor's Awards for Excellence in the Arts and Education. Internationally, he was awarded the Gran Prix du Disc for his album Alborada Flamenca (The Dawning of Flamenco).
