Discotheque 3000- ft Sergio Santos, Suntzu Sound, OFDM + Joel Pryde
You're invited to join Classcadia for a very special inaugural event at the Electric Tea Garden. For our first outing we'll be going on a ten-hour trip through space and time with class and style. Our disco starship will be guided out of the atmosphere by these galactically-renowned pilots:

Sergio Santos (Culprit, Wolf & Lamb)
Suntzu Sound (TRUST, City Soul)
Joel Pryde (Classcadia, Traxpad)
... OFDM (Classcadia)

(More info and musical appetizers from our captains follow below.)

We love the family feeling that defines ETG events, but Classcadia will be giving the place a bit of an upgrade to make our passengers even more comfortable. In addition to advanced lighting technology from another dimension, a highly-evolved new cocktail menu, our expert photographer [WHO] to catch you at your most glamorous, and a carefully-selected whiskey list, our flight attendants will be on hand to make sure you have everything you need for a safe and pleasant journey. For this event, we've disconnected the seat belt signs and put three lovely hosts through flight school:

Josh Santangelo
Jill Rifkin
Sonja Herdon

Airfare for the trip is more at the launchpad, or $10 if purchased in advance via Brown Paper Ticket. Themed attire is encouraged, and we'll have some surprises for our best-dressed passengers.

Now, let's talk about the music for just a moment. Our philosophy at Classcadia is to recruit the most experienced guest DJs and let them run things for a while. We'll give them each the keys for three or more hours so that they have enough time to really share their vision with us. A little more about tonight's musicians

SERGIO SANTOS

(Culprit, Mothership, Airdrop, Wolf & Lamb, S.E.C.T., No. 19, GHCS Boston)

We're thrilled to welcome Sergio Santos to Seattle for a 3+ hour set of his particular, darker flavor of sound. Born in Portugal, Sergio has spent half his life between the cities of porto and his current base in Boston. It was thanks to his European connection that he became enamored with the underground house and techno scene on the continent and therefore bring his knowledge and ideas to the other side of the Atlantic.

With this edge over the Americans and his passion for the darker side of house, disco and sounds, he set about honing his skills as a DJ and became a pioneer and trendsetter amongst Boston's "cool crowd". It was around this time 2002-03 that he met a certain DJ and party duo called Soul Clap, and the lads themselves to this day cite Sergio as a major influence over their own move into the underground and one of their favorite DJs.

During this time Sergio also became friends with a like-minded, fledgling techno producer called Tanner Ross, and so they got straight into the studio and started blazing a trail together, which has since led to releases and remixes from the duo on Claude VonStroke's Mothership label and forward-thinking NYC imprint Airdrop. Then the masterstroke came, as Sergio with Tanner and Soul Clap stepped into the darkness of their music studios as one and formed the Boston supergroup known today as S.E.C.T.

Sergio's intelligent and acclaimed DJ sets and his legendary afterparty performances made his DJ profile blossom and inspired the world leading dance music magazine Mixmag to mark him as one to "Keep And Eye On". He also been hitting the US major cities recently, spinning in LA, San Francisco, New York, Detroit, Miami and DC regularly, and even further afield in parties in Mexico and Puerto Rico.

JOEL PRYDE
(Classcadia, Traxpad)

An innovator in his own right, Joel blends sexy deep sounds with a tribal bent spanning the genres of house and
techno. A DJ for over a decade, Joel had a breakout set this year at Photosynthesis when he rocked the Sweatbox cabin with a three-hour set that kept the room moving while playing almost exclusively brand new, cutting edge house and techno. Joel also has the claim to fame of being the inventor of Traxpad - a professional DJ application for the iPad, which has created a uniquely fluid and modern way of mixing without losing the tactile qualities of turntables and a mixer. With his deadly accurate mixing and careful track selection, Joel Rocks every party he plays.

OFDM
(Classcadia)

OFDM has been a major player in the electronic music scene in the Pacific Northwest since the early 90, first as a promoter of well-remembered events and later as a DJ and owner of a techno only management company by the name of Rising Sun Management. In 1996 Jeffrey decided to shift his focus from massive events and focus on his budding professional career. His last party, Future Soul Festival, will ever be remembered as a truly legendary event. In true renegade fashion, the party was shut down at 3am and began again at 6am. Unable to stay away, Jeffrey continued producing and curating on a much smaller scale, founding the very successful Sundazed park parties that flourished from 1996-2004 with up to 8 events every summer in local Seattle parks while also establishing the selective, family style New Dawn renegade events in the woods of the Pacific Northwest.

In 1997 Jeffrey founded the FTF Collective, which produced fondly remembered parties and helped to launch the careers of several DJs of the time. Jeffrey, through Rising Sun Management, promoted and booked many well known and successful DJs, the likes of Disco D, Forest Green, Stewart Walker and many others. Jeffrey assumed a short role as manager/agent of Ryko recording artist Freezpop and planned a small tour called Monsters of Electropop.

With more than 15 years behind the decks, Jeffrey has established a refined palate for high quality, intelligent electronic music. With an emphasis on sexy Tech House, Deep House and Techno, Jeffrey can always be looked to for the most current and tasteful tracks.
