On a small farm deep in the mountains lives two young brothers and their grandmother. The boys spend their mornings farming vegetables, and then head to a road where they sit and wait to sell to travelers passing by. With the little money they make, they buy medicine and tend to their sick grandmother. Living humbly in remote isolation, the road will determine their destiny.

An evocative, dreamlike work, a mother tells her son of a mysterious character called 'Halima', reassuring him that even though he cannot see or meet this 'Halima', she does exist, living in the surroundings and sleeping in the sun. Rewind to old-days UAE, where we meet the central characters, including two beautiful sisters: Halima and her competitive younger sister. The sun dress is a metaphorical wedding gown, but what happens when the young woman dreaming of her nuptials is deaf-mute in a society where the disabled are castigated? Is she sentenced to a life in the shadows without love?
