The Junior Center of Art & Science is a nonprofit organization that provides opportunities for Oakland-area children to explore art and science in after school, weekend, and summer programs. The Center is truly a treasure hidden at Lake Merritt. In order to raise awareness of the work being done at the Center the Saturday Salon Series will be hosting an evening of Flamenco & Middle Eastern fusion with the Bay Area group, Garnada. Garnada is anchored by lead guitarists Ahmed Drief, a Moroccan native who studied Flamenco guitar in Garnada, Spain. Ahmed will be playing with other traditional Moroccan musicians and dancers to present an amazing evening of sight and sound.<BR><BR>Beer & wine will be available for purchase. Hor d'oevres will be provided.
