NO FACE presents a POST-FRINGE DOUBLE FEATURE
The evening begins with Meagan and David's Low-Cost Creativity Workshop, coming to Philly straight off a smash run at D.C.'s Capitol Fringe. GoHorses, a New York City-based comedy team comprised of Jo Firestone and Dylan Marron, achieved major success there in 2010, winning the director's award for Ridgefield Middle School Talent Nite. Meagan and David, their most recent show, played to sellout audiences and rave reviews, with the Washington Post calling the duo "painful, hilarious" and the show "surefire entertainment".
Then after a palate-cleansing intermission, No Face Performance Group takes the stage to perform The Beautiful Refrigerator is Empty, a demonic drag cabaret featuring Mark McCloughan and Rosie Langabeer, most recently seen in Pig Iron Theatre Company's Twelfth Night. Supported by live technical interventions designed by Spencer Sheridan (WHaLE OPTICS), the show tells the story of Teena Geist, a precocious fourteen-year-old awaiting the arrival of her prom date. While she waits, she gossips with the audience, eventually revealing the dark heart of modern teenage life.
