Seminar: Sound Supervision & Preparation
The relationship of the sound supervisor and production sound mixer so that the best quality of sound is achieved at the time of principle photography. This will help keep costs down in post and minimize the need for ADR.
Eileen Horta began working as a sound editor in 1977, worked primarily in animation for Hanna-Barbera and Chuck Jones, and on television movies for EMI and CBS. At MTM, Horta acted as co-supervisor of sound editing on Hill Street Blues, Remington Steele and Cagney and Lacey. Horta won her first Emmy for the pilot of Hill Street Blues, and a second Emmy for the same series. She received two Emmy nominations for Hill Street and the pilot of L.A. Law. Most recently, she was nominated for HBO's John Adams. Currently she is supervising the FX series Rescue Me and Secret Life of the American Teenager for ABC Family.
