Comedy with Rick Reed
RICK is an all out blast! Super high energy shows where he makes Northern Exposure, Home Improvement & Little House on the Prairie look easy. He's tough, honest and a hell of a lot of fun. He's made it safely back from all over the U.S. Canada, Alaska and even Australia. He has over 20 years in the Stand Up Comedy business and yet over 32 years happily married. As an ex-Viet Nam Veteran, ex-Road House owner, Homesteader and Lumberjack and all out McGyver he's refreshingly different because his show is not an act this guy is for real.
For 30 years he's lived at the very top of Idaho bordering Canada and Montana on the land he and his wife hacked out tree by tree, year after year. At fifty-six years old he's a survivor with a sense of humor. As a youngster of nine he survived being hit by a car in Butte, Montana and thrown into oncoming traffic. He survived moving to California in the 60's as a teenager and running wild in the streets of San Francisco only to be drafted to drop Napalm from Choppers in Viet Nam. In the 70's he moved to the mountains like Michael Landon on acid to carve out their own land and start a family. This was long before it was Hollywood fashionable to go without electricity and running water only they did it for fourteen years. That's when he became a Lumberjack and survived being hit by trees and rolling bulldozers over mountains. In the 80's they bought a restaurant and bar then proceeded to put $130,000 into it while putting out two fires in the place. Why, it was insured? THEN THEIR CABIN BURNED DOWN! It wasn't insured! Surprisingly he's still alive.
He's a hell of a business genius and you darned right he's funny.
Hilton Hotels to Biker Bars to Comedy Clubs, Casino's, Golf courses, Prisons and Prisons that looked like Golf Courses, he's worked them all. He's done tons of concerts thru the years. As Host of Rockin the Rivers Concert in Montana the last ten years he's worked 20,000 people and keeps them laughing and behaving for three days at a time. That only comes from being a good bar owner. Also helps in providing excellent intro's and encores for the biggest name bands in the world such as Bad Company, Journey, Foreigner, Grand Funk, Steppenwolf and many more.
