My daughters and I were really looking forward to this event. We turned out to be very disappointed. We arrived at about 4.00 and there was very little going on. Apparently the cooking demo was already over. We sat down to be part of the coffee ceremony and got a fairly good lukewarm SIP of coffee for two dollars, before we had a chance to finish it they set off the fire alarm with the burning of charcoal and incense so we had to clear the building. Then we stood in the parking lot waiting for the fire department to come and give us the all clear. We went back to try and enjoy ourselves. They sold us a small plate of lukewarm mediocre food for 10 dollars. You would have needed at least 3 of these things to have half enough food for three of us. The description of the evening said that there would be a catered dinner. We moved up to the auditorium and suffered through a travel video. The best part of the evening was the three dancers. However between acts this Mexican women MC'd, she turned out to be so offensive that we had to leave. She thought she was funny and nobody was laughing. Then she starting bragging about how she beats her child in the privacy of her own home. And was proud that her children were so frighten of her that when she gives them they eye when they are in public that they pee their pants. I had to leave as it felt like staying was condoning that abusive behavior. I will not go back to any events in this series or similar ones organized by these people.
