SCMS Presents the Baroque Festival - St. Cecilia Orchestra
The St. Cecilia Orchestra under the artistic direction of Geoffrey Burgess presents an evening of diverse and engaging music for soloists and orchestra. This concert features a kaleidoscope of Baroque instrumental colors, with works for chalumeau, viola da gamba, trumpet, and recorder by Rameau, Hotteterre, Marais, Telemann and Graun. Also featuring a rare performance of J.S. Bach's own transcription of his Brandenburg Concert #5 for two recorders, harpsichord obbligato and strings.
