POCAHONTAS: a Woman of Two Worlds
Award winning Minnesota composer Linda Tutas Haugen and author Joan Vail Thorne have created a work of power and beauty telling the story of the engimatic Algonquin child-princess Pocahontas. This hauntingly beautiful music-drama examines the common bond we share with the First Nations people of America. The work relies on historical accounts to set aside the half-truths that plague our cultural divide. The opera features traditonal music performed by Native American musicians.
General Admission and Student tickets will be available at the box office two hours before the performance.
