ADA OVERVIEW AND REVIEW OF 2010 ADA STANDARDS

5 hours AIA CES (HSW & ADA approved)

This five hour HSW/ADA AIA CES program will cover the new 2010 ADA and CBC amendments in accessibility law and regulations. This course meets the California State Architecture Board License requirements on Continuing Education for Disabled Access Requirements.  The workshop will include an overview of Federal and State accessibility regulations and best practices for implementation, as well as an in-depth review of the 2010 ADA Standards.  This workshop will give you a solid understanding of the new federal regulations as well as prepare you to manage future developments in accessibility design.

TILE COUNCIL OF NORTH AMERICA 2011 HANDBOOK CHANGES

This one hour HSW LU program covers the many changes to the 2011 TCNA Handbook which is a guide to assist in clarifying and standardizing installation specifications for ceramic tile, glass tile and natural stone tile. We will cover new environmental classification, the new floor assembly weights section, new ISO references, and the green side of tile.

Learn the differences between methods and materials for thin veneer and other masonry materials, how to specify materials and the methods for the installation of thin veneer, the "Green Value" of thin veneer, and see an installation from surface preparation to finish.
