This workshop will focus on using N.A. Flute with a vocalist. Ron Warren (Native flutes) and Janice Torres (singer) will discuss some of the issues involved when performing music with N.A flute and voice, both in a traditional and more contemporary context. Vocal tracks from Rons Nammy nominated CD, Dancing the Full Moon will be used to demonstrate arranging options in a contemporary context. Also included will be live performances of a traditional Cherokee lullaby, an arrangement of Amazing Grace and songs composed by Ron for voice and Native American flute on poems by contemporary Native American writers.

Note: Children under twelve are admitted free of charge to all concerts. Flute Quest is a family event, drugs and alcoholic beverages are not permitted at this event. Washington Flute Circle d/b/a Flute Quest is a 501(c)(3) non profit corporation
