The Experimental Theatre Project presents "Wild White Rose"
Chamber Theater Seattle, WA
From the playwright who brought you the "caustic satire" that "raise[d] your hackles" in last spring's production of "Hook the Holy Hollow":
Young Rose meets Rudolf in this surreal realm of flowers and colors -- and is intrigued by him (or is it one of his clones?) despite the warnings of her own alter-egos. How will this White Rose survive amidst the blood-red fates of her fellow blossoms? Who is she really? -- And will the garden of totalitarianism offer resurrection, or something else entirely?
In "Wild White Rose," passion arises in its two most vibrant forms: Desire meets Totalitarianism in this exploration of loyalty and the Colors of the Rose!
"Wild White Rose" is written by Roxanne Ray, directed by Beth Raas, and features the performing talents of Patrick Allcorn, Matt Dennie, Gavin Donnellan, Brooke Hills, Molly Mahar, Beth Anne Moceri, Jessica Stepka, Dawn Stoyanoff, Sam Tsubota, and Kira Walker as well as the design talents of Kristin Holsather, Katie Lawrence, Monty Taylor, and Margo Walker, with Roza Skenderova as Stage Manager, Bruce Wheelock as Set/Lighting Production Specialist, poster design and photography by Ken Holmes, and ASL interpretation by Bridget Long, Natalie Rush, Cynthia Wallace, and Bernadine Wentland. Please join us for this exploration of the music and terror at both ends of passion's spectrum.
The Experimental Theatre Project of White Cat Productions aims to create theatre and performance that pushes experimental boundaries of both playwriting and production. The Experimental Theatre Project seeks to engage in multi-disciplinary experimentation and innovation, as well as artistic integrity and excellence, in all of its performance endeavors. ETP is particularly interested in the relevance of performance to social and cultural concerns, and strives to explore these issues in theatrical form as well as in content.
In the garden of passion, beware of thorns...
