Workshop w/Dr. God: Screenwriting (SF Improv Festival 2011)
Having a good idea for a movie is only the beginning turning it into a script that someone will buy is a very different animal. Dr God member Justin Ware, a working Hollywood screenwriter for ten years, will break down how to streamline your concept, structure your movie, and hopefully wrap the whole thing up in a nice, Hollywood-attracting package. This workshop, which will focus on comedy (though all screenwriters are welcome), will incorporate ideas from improv (heightening, strong characters, etc) with an emphasis on Hollywood-style commercial filmmaking.

Justin Ware works as a screenwriter and producer in Los Angeles. He's sold original scripts to Fox, Paramount, and Disney Channel, and he's cut a swath across the rewrite circuit and developed projects with such Hollywood mainstays as Imagine Television, Warner Brothers, and Nickelodeon. He's also a member of Dr God, but you already knew that.
