Afro-Peruvian Music and Dance July 18-30
Juan Medrano Cotito is internationally recognized as one of the living masters of the Cajón. Cotito has worked with Susana Baca since 1985 and is a member of the electronic music group Novalima. He was recently designated as the Ambassador of the Cajón, a national honor reserved for Peru's greatest artists.
Cunamacué is a music and dance company based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Cunamacué's mission is to promote the continuity of Afro-Peruvian culture.
