Climate Change Despair & Empowerment Workshop
This workshop is offered by Sustainable Ballard as a follow up and deepening of the Wednesday, August 22, 7:00-9:00pm Climate Change Despair & Empowerment Road Show to be held at University Lutheran Church. In the peace and beauty offered by nature in our urban oasis, Woodland Park, we will gently explore our deeply felt emotions in response to conditions of our time; experience the power of our connection with the vast web of life and our authority to act on its behalf; and support one another in our work for the healing of our world.Workshop activities are inspired by The Work that Reconnects, a form of group work pioneered by Joanna Macy in the 1970s. This Work has helped thousands around the globe find insight, solidarity and courage to act in the face of the deep challenges to our planetary future. (See www.joannamacy.net.) Great Turning Northwest members Paula Hendrick, Edith Kusnic, and Ann Scheerer will facilitate this workshop.
