Friday, August 24th from 9:00 am to 1pm
Please join us on Friday, August 24th between 9:00 a.m. and 1 p.m. to explore the history, lore, music and song of the Native American flute. The day begins when you receive a gift of your own personal flute. Then, as you gather with Flute Quest performers, the legends, history and song of the flute will be taught through a series of stories and demonstrations. Following a short break, the group will split into smaller "flute circles" where you'll learn the basic scale and a song. The workshop ends with each circle performing their new song for family and friends. Registrants must be in groups of five or more with chaperons, teachers or parents attending. A sack lunch is recommended.
