"Sugar doesn't live here" is a dance that comes from my subconscious and has remained feeling odd to me since I began working on it early this year. It makes me feel like I've made a dance that is by someone else - foreign and beautiful. It is inspired by big dancing in small spaces, the female as a being, amoebas, matadors, character development, and grizzly bears. You will see all of these things for sure in this work, including a bear.
