Event
6/13 Auschwitz
Uwe Boll's film Auschwitz is a disturbing and realistic glimpse into the horror of the Holocaust. Boll starts the film by citing Dafur, Rwanda, the Congo and other contemporary examples of genocide. Borrowing from the timeless expression, "those who forget history are doomed to repeat it," the film begins with a series of interviews of German school children. From the interviews with these children we learn that most haven't even a glimmer of understanding of these past events. Next Boll takes us to the camp itself and portrays the horror to these children with an unflinching eye. Auschwitz is a brutal film portrayed in a way that will ensure controversy, and will make it increasingly difficult to forget.
