Prehistoric Preschool - Movin' in Prehistoric Time, Saturday A.M.
Prehistoric Preschool is a Museum program for 3-5 year olds and their adult companions to explore natural history topics in a supportive and fun atmosphere. All activities are child-centered, hands-on, and age appropriate. Classes include two hours of crafts, songs, games, puppet shows, investigating specimens from the Museum's collections, Museum visits, and a fun and healthy snack.
Fall Session 2: Movin' in Prehistoric Time
Move in different ways together with creatures from the past, from burrowing worms to flying pterosaurs. Discover creatures from different ages that shared the same kind of movement and see the similarities.
1) Dynamic Diggers: Worms, Lungfish and Mammals
2) Stupendous Stompers: Seismosaurus, Coelophysis, and Mastodon
3) Super Swimmers: Ammonite, Archelon and Mosasaur
4) Fantastic Flyers: Bats, Birds and Pterosaurs
This class meets on:
Saturday, 10 a.m.-Noon: October 22, November 5, November 19, & December 3
This program is also offered: Thursday, 10 a.m.-Noon: October 20 - December1; Friday, 10 a.m.-Noon: October 21 - December 2; Saturday, 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.: October 22 -December 3, look for a separate Brown Paper Ticket listings.
Scholarships are available for children who qualify and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. To apply go to http://www.nmnaturalhistory.org/preschool.html and download the form containing the Scholarship application and instructions. For additional questions please do call 505 841-2861.
