Prehistoric Preschool - Day Sky/Night Sky, Thursdays
Prehistoric Preschool is a Museum program for 3-5 year olds and their adult companions to explore natural history topics in a supportive and fun atmosphere. All activities are child-centered, hands-on, and age appropriate. Classes include two hours of crafts, songs, games, puppet shows, investigating specimens from the Museum's collections, Museum visits, and a fun and healthy snack.
Fall Session 1: Day Sky/Night Sky
Observe the sky, both during the day and at night clouds, the sun and moon, and is that a star?
We notice what we see and discover how it happens and why.
1) What's the Weather Today: Hot, Cold, Wet, Dry ? 2) Moon, Planets, Stars: Night Sky Discoveries 3) Seasons and the Sun: First Day of Fall 4) Asteroids, Comets and Meteors: What's the Difference?
This class meets on: Thursday, 10a.m.-Noon: August 25, September 8, September 22, & October 6.
This program is also offered: Fridays 10 a.m. to noon, August 26- October 7, Saturdays 10 a.m. to noon August 27-October 8; and Saturdays 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., August 27- October 8; look for a separate Brown Paper Ticket listings.
