RAIN OR SHINE.INDOOR OPTIONS ON SITE ...Saturday September 22nd from noon to 9 p.m.....This will be the first annual Mt. Rainier Blues, Jazz,Wine and Brews festival featuring 9 great Blues and Jazz bands as well as multiple NW Wineries,Breweries and food vendors.The bands include...Electric Violin Virtuoso, Geoffrey Castle.....The multi award winning Randy Oxford Band.....The Hammond B-3 jazz Trio, Hat Trick...The Kim Archer band.... and all the way from Kentucky,Billy Roy Danger and the Rectifiers....also, don't miss Boogie Woogie piano master, Eric "Two Scoops" Moore....and then there is the eclectic and amazing "Trevalyan Triangle"... also the John Sparrow-Joe Debenedictus Duo and then the local favorites, "The Jo Juba Jazz Trio... all of this in one day,held at the foot of Mt.Rainier at the Mineral Lake Event Center.(site of the infamous and annual "Music for the Mountain 3 day concert/benefit for Mt.Rainier National Park")
This Sept. 22nd 2007 Blues, Jazz, wine and Brews festival is scheduled to be an outdoor event but can quickly be moved indoors if the weather changes.
There is camping and RV parking on site with hot showers available (stay as long as you like) and plenty of additional lodging options in the area close to the event.There is swimming and boating available in the Lake just a stones throw from the event......Mineral, WA. is only a 90 minute or less drive from most major metropolitan area's in Western,WA.,Yakima and even Portland,OR.....Go to www.randyoxford.com for more information about the event, the site, the bands and the location.
JUST ADDED !!..Friday night before the Festival open Jam session and Drum circle around the fire pit.Come one come all.Bring your acoustic instruments, percussion stuff, tell stories, tell jokes, sing,dance and celebrate the last days of summer. !!
ALSO ...The Mt.Rainier scenic Railroad is now based out of Mineral, WA. and scenic Railroad rides like non other in the world will be available the day of this event.
