Malibu Stage Company birngs back Peter Quilter's British hit comedy GLORIOUS! A hilarious comedy with heart, this play tells the true story of Florence Foster Jenkins, a wealthy socialite living in New York in the 1940s. Known as "the worst singer in the world" and "the first lady of the sliding scale," she couldn't hold a note. Despite her lack of talent, Jenkins doggedly pursued her dreams, and made a career of her singing, selling out New York's famed Carnegie Hall on her final performance in 1944. The play was a hit in London's West End and was nominated for the prestigious Laurence Olivier Award and the Theatregoers Choice Award as Best New Comedy in 2006, and has since been performed in 23 countries and translated into 13 languages. Returning in their original roles are Nathalie Blossom as Florence, Beverly Craviero as Cosme, Nancy Little as Dorothy, and Peggy Miley as Mrs. Verinder Gedge
