A storm, a sinking ship, and a captain who is too drunk to pray for survival. The castaways wash up on an island where a local lunatic has declared the occasional murder permissible. The servants struggle to establish a new society while the aristocracy resist the temptation to kill themselves with rocks. In the end, the greatest peril is resisting ones own delusions; this island of hallucinations may just be the safest place on earth so long as the Bishop stays dead.
Last season, Theatre of NOTE won the LA Weekly Best Ensemble award for Chris Kelley's "The Bomba Trilogy".
