Thomas Sankara, president of Burkina Faso from 1983 to 1987, rose to power at the age of 34. With a gun in one hand and Karl Marx's works in the other, this young captain known as "Tom Sank" or "Comrade Sankara" set to work to shake the foundations of his country. Determined to break away from the clutches of the French Government with its post-colonial networks in Africa, he took on the traditional leaders who dominated the land, and fought against the apathy of the civil service machineryâÃÂæ

A Glory from the God" is the documentary that shows how one woman's energy can ignite a movement to change the world. The film profiles Boston minister and pediatrician Gloria White-Hammond whose commitment to support families in Darfur, Sudan has lifted her to the frontlines of the battle to end the 21st century's worst humanitarian crisis.
