Special Needs: An Evening of Stand Up Comedy with Selene Luna
At 3'10", Selene Luna is a small package with a very big
presence. She's a comedian, actress and burlesque star, praised by The
New York Times as, "a polished spitfire".A veteran of the stage and screen, Selene began her career
performing among Hollywood's eccentric artist community. She cut her
teeth performing in clubs and art venues, and quickly became a darling
of Hollywood's underground scene. An original member of the Velvet
Hammer Burlesque, Luna tours internationally and performs regularly with
burlesque idol Dita von Teese. Luna is probably best known for her role
in Lionsgate's feature,"My Bloody Valentine 3D," and her role as Margaret Cho's assistant in
Vh1's "The Cho Show" - a performance that landed her a nomination for
MTV LOGO's NewNowNext: Brink of Fame: Comic Award. Luna is currently
starring in her own self-produced online series, "Selene's Hollywood
Confidential,"
a quirky and often darkly humorous look at the ups and downs in the life
of a struggling actress in Hollywood.
