Choral Concert: We Move Homeward
A night of shining community in the beautiful West Vancouver United Church sanctuary - a great space for musical celebration of Choral singing from three ensembles. Hear World premieres of two exquisite song cycles by West Vancouver's own Lloyd Burritt. Contemplate the moving poetry of Marilyn Lerch's We Move Homeward with soprano Edith Pritchard and the West Vancouver United Church Choir with their dynamic conductor Gerald van Wyck; Robin Blaser's mystical Winter Words in a Dark Love Song features mezzo-soprano Julie Simson, pianist Laura Loewen, and oboist Geronimo Mendoza. It's also an opportunity to honour Dr. Diane Loomer, who is receiving a richly-deserved Honorary Doctorate from UBC and joins us to conduct her EnChor choir. The VISICHOR with conductor Kevin Zakresky rounds out the guest list in a concert of revelations.
