Dinosaur Detectives -- July 25-29 12:30pm-3:30pm
Become a junior paleontologist and time travel through New Mexico's Mesozoic and Cenozoic eras seeking prehistoric animals. Discover how paleontologists use detective skills and trek through Triassic and Jurassic forests, cross Cretaceous seas, and traverse Tertiary grasslands in search of answers. Activities include art projects, games, stories, investigating real specimens from the Museum's collections, and visits to the Museum's exhibits. Classes are limited to 15 children and are taught by two adult instructors and one aide.
Total cost for this Young Explorers 2011 Summer Camp event is: General $125.00, Member is $112.50. Program is also offered this week from 8:30 to 11:30 am--look for a separate Brown Paper Ticket listing.
Scholarships are available for children who qualify and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. For application email programs.nmmnhs@state.nm.us or call 505-841-2861.
