Doors open at 10:30am. Show starts promptly at 11:00am!

Featured Guests:

11:00 a.m. - Julie Lythcott-Haims: "How to Raise an Adult"

In the provocative manifesto "How to Raise an Adult: Break Free of the Overparenting Trap and Prepare Your Kid for Success",  Julie Lythcott-Haims explores how and why the hyper-attentive parenting, or helicopter parenting, trend has taken parents and their offspring hostage in this country, and exposes the real-life dangers that lie ahead for the kids who are raised this way, and for society at large.

12:00 p.m. - Jennifer Ring, "A Game of Their Own: Voices of Contemporary Women in Baseball"

In 2010 twenty American women were selected to represent Team USA in the fourth Women's Baseball World Cup in Caracas, Venezuela; most Americans, however, had no idea such a team even existed.

"A Game of Their Own" chronicles the largely invisible history of women in baseball and offers an account of the 2010 Women's World Cup tournament. Jennifer Ring includes oral histories of eleven members of the U.S. Women's National Team.
