"Honoring The Legend" - Harold J. Haughton, Sr. (A Surprise Event)
Over the years, Mr. Harold J. Haughton, Sr. has tremendously impacted the lives of countless individuals. As former band director at Jackson State University and Virginia State University, he not only developed the musical abilities of his students, but also helped develop abilities and principles that they would be able to carry throughout their lives.
On June 25, 2011, we will "Honor the Legend" with a long-overdue semi-formal gala in recognition of his many contributions to Historically Black College and University band programs and to music education in general. This event will take place at Virginia State University's beautiful new Gateway Dining Facility from 5:00 p. m. until 8:00 p. m. This event is being planned as a SURPRISE celebration for Mr. Haughton. We ask that you mention nothing to him about this event.
The ticket price of $50 includes a buffet style dinner.
