The Logger Project
The Blue Ox Millworks Eureka, CA
The Logger Project is an original play about Loggers of the Pacific Northwest and focuses on the lives of loggers and their families. This original play is regionally specific, and is developed through a community-engaged play-making process with the help of local residents, historians, and logging families. This is a celebration and exploration of the logger told through an original score and stories that shape the play. With the help of bluegrass band, The Bucky Walters, we wish to capture a glimpse of the history, day-to-day lives, and experiences of the men and women who call themselves loggers. This is an outdoor event performed at the historical landmark, The Blue Ox Millworks located in Eureka, so dress appropriately. Enjoy this fun and exciting event!
