Coyolxauhqui ReMembers

Bootleg
Los Angeles, CA

What do an Aztec Moon Goddess, an outspoken woman from Brazil, the ghost of a young factory (maquiladora) worker from Juarez and a “complete makeover” of a brown girl have in common??!!  Come see Coyolxauhqui ReMembers September 6th, 7th and 8th to find out.  Join performer and choreographer Licia Perea as she joins forces with the Latina Dance Project for an evening that blends video, new music, theater and dance (modern, Azteca and aerial) in a powerful re-interpretation of the Aztec Moon Goddess, Coyolxauhqui.  J. Noyer of the Albuquerque Journal states, “Coyolxauhqui creates evening of physical power…stunning projected video by Jose Garcia Davis…this was strongly physical theater performed by gifted professionals with imagination and wit.”
