Legacy Awards and Auction Banquet

Join El Centro de la Raza on September 24, 2011 for the inaugural Legacy Awards and Auction Banquet at the Washington State Convention Center.
This event will honor the life of our beloved founder, Roberto Maestas, who recently passed away, but whose legacy of fighting for racial equality and an end to poverty continues to influence and inspire our work.
We will be instituting a legacy award and scholarship in Roberto's honor that will be presented at the event and celebrating all who follow the path of fighting for social justice and multi-racial unity.
The event will last from 5:30 pm to 9pm, and will include a silent auction, live mariachi music, specialty raffles, dinner, an exciting live auction, and the first ever Roberto Maestas Legacy Award and Scholarship presentation.
The auction portion of the event will be instrumental in supporting the continuation of Roberto's legacy here at El Centro. All funds raised will support our 32 non-profit educational, human service, and community building programs.
