Adult class -- Lavender
The lavenders (Lavandula) are a genus of 39 species of flowering plants in the mint family, Lamiaceae. In New Mexico, when you think of lavender, you may think about Los Ranchos de Albuquerque and Los Poblanos. Los Poblanos began to grow lavender in 1999 in the historically agricultural Rio Grande valley. This is your opportunity to learn about lavender from one of the lavender farmers from Los Poblanos. This class is offered as a partnership between Los Poblanos and the Museum.
