Ridgestock Music and Sustainability Expo
Ridgestock celebrates "Sweet 16"!
Hard to believe it has been 16 years since we first graced the shady cedar stage at the North Columbia Schoolhouse Cultural Center! We have grown organically over the years, slowly encompassing many areas of great music and hot topics surrounding sustainability. Our team works hard to ensure that you and your family are educated and entertained throughout the entire day with a uniquely 'ridge' experience. The venue, a historic one room schoolhouse and grounds, boasts an outdoor amphitheatre and an open lawn full of shade and sun which we fill with vendors of all types, including info booths, organic food booths, hand made crafts and clothes, green industries such as solar and garden supplies, as well as an interactive kids space. The day's programming centers around speakers on green topics such as alternative building, solar, local environmental issues, gardening, and often includes demonstrations. We also have program for kids during the late afternoon that is just for our little friends. We love to mix it up and past acts have included: Dr. Solar's traveling medicine show, Secret Agent 23 Skidoo and Penney the Clown. For the evening, which starts around 5 pm or so, we switch to the music exclusively and rock right up until 11pm.
We have had a great run of local and regional acts such as: Joe Craven, Samba Da. Monophonics, New Monsoon, Dead Winter Carpenters, ClanDyken, Mojo Green, and Zeperella, just to name a few. This year is no exception as we celebrate another year with another high-energy superstar lineup!
Headliners HOUSE OF VIBE ALL STARS, is a diverse hip hop soul fusion group fronted by CHALI 2NA of Jurassic Five and also includes members from Ozamotli, and the Luminaries, all stellar acts alone, but together? Amazing! This Live 12 piece band will be sure to make a fan out of you and keep you moving.
Sub Headliners MERMEN, the one and ORIGINAL instrumental surf rock band that created the standard for all other surf bands to follow. This powerhouse trio rides the waves of psychedelic riffs to bring you to new levels of euphoric musical appreciation.
