Curator's Coffee -- Degrees of Change: New Mexico's Climate Forecast
The Museum recently opened a new exhibit on climate change, Degrees of Change: New Mexico's Climate Forecast. What does it take to translate information about the science of climate change to the public through an exhibit? Come and hear from Eileen Everett about the design and interpretation of the exhibit, and end with a special guided tour of the exhibit. Note: This Curator's Coffee will begin in the Atrium of the Museum (meet at the wooden steps in the Atrium), walk through the Climate Change exhibit, and end with a visit to the Exhibit Design Studio for coffee, pastries, and discussion. Eileen Everett joined the Education Department in Spring 2009 as Climate Change Educator. Previously, Eileen worked as Education Manager for Audubon New Mexico and as a Fish and Wildlife Biologist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
