2011 Brighton Dance Festival Showcase Performance
Michigan Dance Project hosts the 2nd Annual Brighton Dance Festival, June 20 - 25, 2011. The festival concludes with a showcase performance on Saturday June 25th at the Brighton Center for the Performing Arts (BCPA). All ticket sales, plus a portion of tuition and merchandise proceeds, are benefiting the BCPA to help further the growth of dance and performance art in Livingston County.
The June 25th showcase performance features a diverse collection of new dance works choreographed by festival faculty members, plus students in the BDF Professional Training Program. The pieces are choreographed during the festival week and performed for the first time on the BCPA stage.
Last year the festival was able to proudly donate $3,500 to the BCPA. This summer our goal is to raise at least $7,000!
Brighton Dance Festival is hosted by Michigan Dance Project, in partnership with the Brighton Center for the Performing Arts, and sponsored by Michelle's Academy of Dance & Performing Arts Center.
