Doc Watchers and The Maysles Cinema present a screening of the Moroccan film "All I Wanna Do", as part of The New York African Film Festival.
All I Wanna Do Dir. Michelle Medina, 2010, 59 min., Morocco Forty-eight year-old Simohamed, who works as a parking guard, and his 17-year-old son Ayoub, get the opportunity to pursue their dreams of being Hip Hop artists.
Doc Watchers is a Harlem, community-based documentary film screening club and series.
ABOUT THE CINEMA: The Maysles Cinema is a non-profit theater in Harlem dedicated to the exhibition of documentary film and video. In addition to presenting the masterworks of the documentary tradition, overlooked or under-distributed gems and new releases, the Cinema is a space for meaningful social exchange, offering a forum for the discussion of questions of social and economic justice.
