Inspired by the culinary diversity of NYC, Txikito will simulate a miniature street festival with global street cuisine. 2011 will highlight Txakoli: a effervescent low alcohol white wine from the Basque Region which is issued each spring. It is our hope that over time Txikifest will be an annual Txakoli restaurant mash-up for Charity.
What to expect: More than 10 Txacolis and 1 cider from the Basque region. Also on hand, 9 terrific restaurants preparing gourmet street food. Joining us will be our neighbors Co. Pizzeria, Edi and the Wolf, El Quinto Pino, La Newyorkina, Lassi (Heather Carlucci), Poole's Diner, Taim & Taim Mobile, The Hurricane Club, and Txikito.
Profits from ticket sales for this event will go to faces (Finding A Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures).
