UPDATE The Boot Camp has been POSTPONED until 2008 because of an unavoidable conflict for the instructor. Please email seminar at cleanerproduction.com to receive updates of future offerings.
The Green Business Boot Camp is the only event of its kind. Sponsored by Green@Work Magazine (greenatwork.com), this 3-day training program provides an intensive introduction to the proven, practical ways to manage all aspects of business or organization in a more green and environmentally sustainable manner. Taught by a popular MBA program professor with global experience, it is a "mini-MBA" covering design, production, purchasing, accounting, finance, facilities, team building, management systems, and more. The tools and strategies taught benefit the bottom line and the environment. Participants will learn successful ways to get others in their organizations more involved and ways to make the business case every time. They will learn how to help other companies improve profits through green business practices.
The program includes presentations from leading green Seattle businesses and organizations, including retail, manufacturing, hospitality, healthcare, local government, software and IT, biotech and more. They will share what they have learned and their advice to you.
Participants receive the Sustainable Business CD Library with over 500 reference publications on every aspect of green business - the best "how to" resource available.
This is an ideal course for someone who wants a solid overview of practical green business practices they can apply today. If you want to be more profitable and green, you will learn what works for others now. If you are selling "green" products, this course will help you walk the talk in your daily operations. If you are advising companies, learn how to talk about green business without scaring the client and how to make the most of short on-site visits.
The "Boot Camp" is participatory and lively - every session includes time for discussion with others. Your own company might be selected for group discussion and brainstorming. You'll also get a free subscription to Green@Work Magazine, the leading popular green business news and commentary journal.
The facility, Seattle Center, is one of the great urban centers in the world with constant activity and affordable hotels in walking distance. With restaurants, shows, museums and music, it's a great place for a Boot Camp!
