During World War II, Australia's small farming communities paid a terrible price. In the rural towns of New South Wales, one family each week discovered their son, husband, brother or father would not be coming home. In the throws of such grief, one seldom considers the man who delivers the news â" the telegram man. This beautifully crafted short film stars three international screen legends â" Australian actors Jack Thompson, Gary Sweet and Sigrid Thornton.

Claire Kelly's world is torn apart when her true love, Joe, a B-24 pilot, is shot down during WWII and declared dead. Claire must face the reality that he is gone forever. Two years later, as she struggles to move on with her life, she encounters Joe's copilot. He gives her new information about the crash, compelling her to take a journey in search of closure and answers about Joe's death. She discovers Joe is living another life in another town and is torn between her undying love for him and the reality that he may never be the same again.
Following the film screenings, the GI Film Festival will host a VIP reception
